RESPECT IS MANDATORY

Abuse against players for any reason will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with another player, please let a mod know so the problem can be solved with as little trouble as possible.

PLAYERCESTING IS A NO-GO

Please try to refrain from having your characters interact a lot with each other. It leaves other people out of the fun. Of course, there may be times when those characters must interact for one reason or another. If it’s a once-in-a-while thing, it’s no big deal, but please don’t make it a habit.

PLAYERS MUST BE 18+

Due to the setting of the game, there is going to be a lot of mature content, thus this game will not be open to those under 18.

SEXUAL STUFF IS OKAY BUT NOT THE POINT

Sex is not the main point of this game. Of course, romance between characters happens and can be very fun to play, so if things between characters gets intense, please either fade to black or put such content under a cut with a clear warning.

No character under the age of 16 will be accepted due to the nature of this game. If you would like to participate in sexual situations with characters under 18, please put it under a cut and make a VERY clear warning, as such things can bother some people.

CHARACTER LIMIT IS 6

If you want to apply for a canonmate, the player must have passed Activity Checks for two consecutive months before applying.

YES, YOU CAN APP FALLOUT CHARACTERS

If you’d like to play a character from the Fallout universe, go for it! Please make sure to choose a character that you can write an app for without having to use too much head-canon. For example, Veronica Santangelo from New Vegas has enough interaction with the player character to get a good understanding of her personality and she also gives you information about her history. Chet, the merchant in Goodsprings, however doesn’t do much than sell items and thus might not be the best choice, as he doesn’t tell you about his past or reveal much about his personality.

GODMODDING IS RIGHT OUT

You have full control of the character you’ve applied for. You do not have control over the characters of other players. If you’d like to play something out with a certain ending in mind, please plan it out with the other players involved.

Here are some example of acceptable and not acceptable writing:
Acceptable: Zuko kicked the air, sending a powerful fireball towards Katara.
Not Acceptable: Zuko aimed a fireball at Azula and hit her square in the face, giving her a burn much like his own! “Let’s see how you like it!”

It’s also frustrating for players if characters do stupid things without expecting any consequences. If your character is harassing another and that character gets fed up and comes to settle the matter with violence, then you’ve got to deal with it.

THIS GAME CONTAINS PERMA-DEATH

Now, causing pain and grief to you character is part of the fun, right? However, it isn’t cool to keep killing the poor guy (or girl.) In the Fallout games, death is permanent for NPCs, and it will be for your character too. If a character has died, that character will be able to be re-applied by another player.

STAY IC

Please try to keep your character’s behavior as close to canon as you can. Of course, different situations are going to result in different developments, and there is also some room for different interpretations. Given this however, it’s still important not to have your character do something that they definitely wouldn’t do in canon.

QUALITY IS IMPORTANT

We all know those characters that don’t really say much. Maybe they’re the strong and silent type, or maybe they’re shy. If your character isn’t much of a talker, that’s ok, but try to supplement their lack of conversation skills with actions that other characters can react to. I think everyone who’s roleplayed for a decent length of time has come across that one character that gives you nothing to work off of. If you’re having trouble with this, then it’s probably time to think if your character fits in the game.

ACTIVITY CHECKS

AC will be once every month. Characters must have one network or log along with a thread in another character's log with 7-10 comments.

HIATUSES

Sometimes, real life comes and punches us in the face, and that’s ok. If you’re not able to participate in the game for a week or more, please post to the hiatus board. If you’re only going to be gone for a couple days, then it’s not necessary to post.
