The above map (click image for full-size version) is how the area is displayed on each character's pipboy. It's a topographical map, giving an eyeballed account of elevations, with stylized roads and markers for different types of locations found within the Wasteland. Those with pipboys can mark locations on their map, and the pipboy will configure a route for them to take to reach that destination.
Which is all well and good, but what are all those locations? And the answer is simply everywhere of note located within the Mojave. This wiki page offers a thorough list of all locations, their placement on the map, and what faction runs them. And here is an interactive map, very much like the ones located on the pipboy, with the ability to toggle views.
The map is a wanderer's best friend in the Wasteland, so it goes without saying that becoming familiar with it is a good idea. For a more detailed explanation of the more important areas in the Mojave, please see our Mojave and Factions pages.
